Theweevster18 is the YouTube channel of the late Steven Sudell, a 14-year-old brain cancer patient, who died in November 2018. Sudell used the channel to share his drawings.

On October 24th, 2018, Sudell posted his first video entiteld "Intro to my channel." The post received more than 45,000 views in less than two months (shown below, left). Three weeks later, he posted "Day 20 of drawings and some extra drawings." The post received more than 115,000 views in less than one month (shown below, right).
Death
On November 28th, 2018, Sudell died. The following week, on December 4th, his parents posted a pre-recorded message to be posted after his death. The post was captioned "Steven pre recorded this on Oct 29 same day as his Day 6 elephant post … he knew he was going to die please know he always said if I die right now I’m happy and he was." This post received more than 212,000 views in three days (shown below, left).
The following day, Sudell's parents posted an update on the channel. In the video, they said that they would continue to share the drawings. Within two days, the post received more than 143,000 views (shown below, right).
Reputation
Within two months of starting the channel, Theweevster18 received more than 386,000 subscribers.[1]
Following his death, Sudell requested that people donate to Make-A-Wish Connecticut. As of December 7th, more than $27,000 in donations were made.[2] Additionally, more than $17,000 has been raised on the website Resilience Gives,[3] which will be donated to The Sunshine Kids Foundation and the Sudell family to help with the "financial impact of Steven's healthcare costs."
