She is employed as a cheerleader for the MLB under the St. Louis Cardinals. Sydney Thomas began regularly posting content to her Instagram^[1] page, iamsydneythomas, on January 11th, 2021. On July 3rd, she posted her first video to TikTok.^[2]

Thomas had numerous videos go viral with multiple millions of views between 2021 and 2024. For example, on April 30th, 2022, a TikTok^[3] video of her dancing at prom captioned "prom too turnt" garnered over 2.6 million views in two years.

On June 10th, 2023, Thomas posted a video to TikTok^[4] in which she talks about her job as a cheerleader for the St. Louis Cardinals, garnering over 974,000 views in a year.

On October 18th, Thomas posted a video to TikTok^[5] of herself drinking from a bowl and apparently attempting to cure a hangover, garnering over 4.5 million views in a year.

On November 15th, 2024, Sydney Thomas worked as a ring girl at the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight, where she appeared numerous times on-stream. On November 15th and 16th, she posted collections of photographs of herself at the arena to Instagram,^[6]^[7] each collection garnering over 100,000 likes in five days.

Also on November 15th, she posted a video to TikTok^[8] of herself at the arena, garnering over 15 million views in five days and becoming her most-viewed video of all time.

As of November 20th, 2024, Sydney Thomas has over 677,000 followers on Instagram and 961,000 followers on TikTok.

Following her appearance at the Tyson vs. Paul fight, Thomas inspired memes, reactions and discourse online, mostly from people sharing how attractive they find her.

On November 15th, 2024, X^[9] user @JoelLoren1 posted photos of Thomas appearing behind Amanda Serrano, writing, "Cognitive dissonance, ring girl bimbos juxtaposed with women who have broken their faces in a farce of blood sport," garnering over 3,600 likes in five days.
