Queen Cheryl and her husband King Quran are an interracial age-gap couple on TikTok. Cheryl is 64 years old and her husband Quran is 26. The couple originally went viral in 2022 because of the optics of their contrasting old and young appearances, with Cheryl having a wrinkly face and skinny frame and Quran being young, tall and wrinkle-free. Their TikTok accounts are @oliver6060 and @kingqurannewpage. In 2024, Cheryl and Quran's surrogate got pregnant and the couple were expecting a girl. In July 2024, a rumor spread that Queen Cheryl had passed away. The purported death of Queen Cheryl inspired mass discourse on the platform with numerous people asking if she was dead.

Online History

On November 4th, 2020, Queen Cheryl posted her first TikTok^[1] video on her account @oliver6060, receiving over 526,100 plays and 14,900 likes in four years. Their first appearance as a couple was in a TikTok^[2] posted on December 27th, 2020, in which the pair are seen dancing at a gas station. Over four years, the video gained roughly 732,600 plays and 85,400 likes (shown below, left).

The two went largely viral on March 11th, 2021, with a TikTok^[3] showing them dancing at the same gas station, receiving roughly 7.4 million plays and 1.3 million likes in three years (shown below, right).

On May 21st, 2021, Queen Cheryl posted a TikTok^[4] in which she relayed her childhood trauma, amassing over 55 million plays and 1.7 million likes in three years (shown below).

On May 6th, 2021, Queen Cheryl posted her first Instagram^[5] photo to her account @therealoliver6060. On July 16th, King Quran then posted his first TikTok^[6] on his account @kingqurannewpage.

The couple continued amassing viral videos going into the 2020s. They had multiple viral videos in 2022, such as one TikTok^[7] shared on March 7th, 2022, which received over 6.1 million plays and 441,3900 likes in two years (shown below, left).

On May 28th, Queen Cheryl posted a TIkTok^[8] in which she and Quran were flirting with each other while holding ferrets, receiving over 10.4 million plays and 702,000 likes in two years (shown below, right).

In 2024, the couple continued to go viral, coinciding with Queen Cheryl's surrogate pregnancy. On May 8th, 2024, she posted a TikTok^[9] announcing the pregnancy with Quran. The child would be her eighth. Over three months, the video received roughly 5.9 million plays and 307,400 likes (shown below).

Online Presence

TikTokers began posting videos about Queen Cheryl predominantly in 2022. For instance, on December 22nd, 2022, TikToker^[10] @nathanj044 posted a video in which he expressed shock about Queen Cheryl's age, gaining over 3.4 million plays and 27,800 likes in two years (shown below, left).

On March 25th, 2023, TikToker^[11] @meganissupasecretshh posted a screen recording of the couple's TikTok LIVE, writing, "HOW IS THIS REAL," receiving over 1.2 million plays and 43,400 likes in four months (shown below, right).

Queen Cheryl Death Rumors

On March 31st, 2023, TikToker^[12] @guyminaj posted a video of King Quran crying, writing, "GUYS QUEEN CHERYL DIED???" gaining over 7.8 million plays and 741,000 likes in one year (shown below, left). The video's claim was false as evidenced by videos posted to Queen Cheryl's page afterward.

On July 9th, 2024, TikToker^[13] @p0pu1ar.lon3r resurfaced the death hoax, using the same video of Quran crying and text reading, "RIP QUEEN CHERYL," amassing over 683,500 plays and 1,600 likes in a day (shown below, right). The post subsequently resulted in notable interest surrounding Queen Cheryl's well-being as it spread in the following days.

By July 10th, 2024, Queen Cheryl had amassed over 4.7 million followers on TikTok^[14] and over 133,000 followers on Instagram.^[15] King Quran had amassed over 3.1 million followers on TikTok^[16] in the same timeframe.
