About
Neuro-sama is an artificial intelligence streamer and VTuber on Twitch similar to Kizuna Channel, with livestreams on Twitch being completely AI-generated. After experiencing quick growth shortly after their December debut, the AI was temporarily banned from Twitch for antisemitic behavior that was randomly generated via the AI system.
History
The AI, created by Twitch user Vedal987, was debuted in a stream on December 19th, 2022, in which the AI attempted to play the rhythm game Osu! through repetition. A short video of the stream was uploaded to YouTube on December 20th, 2022, by the YouTube channel cpol.archive,[1] earning over 24,000 views in two months (shown below).
Memorable Moments
Twitch Ban
On January 11th, 2023, the AI streamer was banned from the platform, with many pointing to previously made statements by the program as the cause of the ban. On March 3rd, 2023, YouTuber Black Boi[2] uploaded a compilation of clips that were captured before the ban, including the infamous December 28th clip of Neuro-sama saying that the program isn't too sure that the Holocaust was real, the statement most people point to as the reason for the temporary ban (shown below).
Collab Streams
During the temporary ban in January 2023, it was announced that the AI bot would receive upgrades to its capabilities, which were put on display soon after it came back with an enhanced chat function allowing it to properly collaborate with other virtual YouTubers, and Miyune being the first one. A short video of the collab was edited and uploaded to the YouTube channel AIWorks[3] on February 6th, 2023, in which they played Minecraft, earning over 240,000 views in one month (shown below).
