Khyleri is a Filipino artist best known for his art of anime characters in various funny, often meme-referencing contexts. After entering the online space in late 2020, the artist achieved virality on Twitter and Instagram in 2022 with multiple creations that went viral on social media.

Online History

Khyleri started posting artwork on Twitter^[1] in November 2020 and on Instagram^[2] in July 2021. On Twitter, Khyleri initially posted comics^[3] before starting to post fan art of anime girls in December 2020.^[4][5] On July 23rd, 2021, the first artwork by Khyleri, a fan art of Kobayashi from Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, went viral on Twitter,^[6] accumulating over 7,100 retweets and 45,800 likes in one year (shown below).

In 2022, Khyleri posted multiple fan art of anime characters in various humorous contexts, with his artworks often referencing memes. Multiple artworks of that type went viral in 2022. For example, on May 6th, 2022, Khyleri posted a drawing of Kobeni from Chainsaw Man crying outside of a McDonald's restaurant, which garnered over 13,700 retweets and 144,300 likes on Twitter^[7] in eight months (shown below, left). On July 11th, Khyleri tweeted^[8] a fan art of Doki Doki Literature Club character Monika using mouthwash, which received over 9,200 retweets and 107,000 likes in six months (shown below, right).

The virality of his artworks in 2022 allowed Khyleri to accumulate a massive following across social media. As of January 3rd, 2023, Khyler had over 785,000 followers on Twitter, 83,100 followers on Instagram and over 2,000 patrons on Patreon,^[9] where he also submits exclusive content.

Personal Life

Khyleri is based in the Philippines. On his Instagram profile, Khyleri refers to himself as a "funny artist."
