The Home Depot Girl, real name Ariana Josephine or Ariana Cossie, refers to a woman who took bathroom mirror selfies in a Home Depot uniform and posted them to Twitter (@ariijosephine) in June 2023, leading to memes and viral discourse about how attractive she was. The concept was purported by mostly men on Twitter, inspiring other women to post their own Home Depot selfies in order to go viral. A rumor also spread that an explicit video of the Home Depot Girl leaked online, as well as that the Home Depot Girl had an OnlyFans. Both claims are unfounded. The Home Depot Girl was also eventually doxxed.

Online History

On June 9th, 2023, Twitter^[1] user @ariijosephine, real name Ariana Josephine, posted a mirror selfie showing her inside a public restroom wearing a Home Depot uniform with the caption, "the one job I work at that I get reminded i’m to pretty to work at😂," gaining roughly 106,300 likes in four days (shown below, left). Two days later, on June 11th, 2023, she posted another selfie to Twitter,^[2] again wearing her Home Depot uniform, gaining roughly 76,000 likes in two days (shown below, right). In replies^[3] to her own selfies, Josephine claimed that working at the Home Depot was her college job.

Due to the virality of the selfies, other women started to post their own selfies wearing Home Depot uniforms. For instance, on June 9th, 2023, Twitter^[4] user @daoneivory tweeted a selfie, gaining roughly 7,900 likes in four days (shown below, left). Twitter^[5] user @additupmo_ tweeted a selfie on June 11th, gaining roughly 51,000 likes in two days (shown below, right).

Home Depot Girl OnlyFans

Many early reactions to the Home Depot Girl's selfies were from men who alleged that she should make an OnlyFans or stated that they were impressed that she had never made an OnlyFans. For instance, on June 9th, 2023, Twitter^[6] user @Hovshelper tweeted, "I know shawty a good woman… she coulda made an onlyfans but she got a real job and it’s an honest living," gaining roughly 36,200 likes in four days (shown below, left). On June 11th, 2023, Twitter^[7] user @Zvbear tweeted, "I’m taking bets / Home Depot Girl does OnlyFans in 3 Months / Over or Under (I’m taking Under)," gaining roughly 21,000 likes in two days (shown below, right).

The OnlyFans comments drew criticism from many on Twitter,^[8]^[9] including @ariijosephine herself who posted a tweet^[10] on June 10th, reading, "ILL NEVER MAKE AN ONLYFANS!!!!" gaining roughly 19,000 likes in three days (shown below).

Home Depot Girl Doxxed

On June 12th, 2023, @ariijosephine posted to Twitter^[11] another selfie from a different workplace, joking about being doxxed (shown below, left). Later on June 12th, she claimed that she was being stalked in a tweet^[12] that received roughly 10,500 likes in less than a day (shown below, right).

Shaq DMs Home Depot Girl

On June 11th, 2023, Josephine posted to her Instagram^[13] story a DM she'd received from Shaquille O'Neal in which he told her, "don't let them peopl bother u" (shown below, left). The screenshot was tweeted by the Twitter^[14] account @LegionHoops on June 11th, gaining roughly 23,000 likes in two days (shown below, right).
