About

Fuwamoco is a Hololive English Advent virtual YouTuber duo consisting of twin sisters Fuwawa and Mococo Abyssgard. According to their introduction video, Fuwawa and Mococo are demonic guard dogs who were imprisoned for being too mischievous, giving them lots of time to watch anime and play video games. Despite being 2,000-year-old twins, Fuwawa was born on February 1st and Mococo on February 2nd. Their catchphrase is "bau-bau," meant to resemble a dog's bark. The pair hosted their debut stream in July 2023 and gained a significant following of over 700,000 subscribers on YouTube in eight months, inspiring memes, fan art and other fan-related content.

On July 25th, 2023, the FUWAMOCO YouTube^[1] channel uploaded a video teasing the duo's debut stream, garnering over 800,000 views in eight months (shown below, left). On July 30th, their debut introduction video was uploaded to YouTube,^[2] garnering over 1.1 million views in the same span of time (shown below, right).

The Vtubers consistently streamed throughout 2023 and 2024, often doing gaming and react streams. On August 1st, they hosted a karaoke stream on YouTube^[3] that garnered over 680,000 views in seven months, becoming their most viewed stream besides their debut in the same period of time (shown below).

Fuwamoco garnered a substantial fanbase in their first year of streaming, inspiring fan content across social media platforms, including Reddit, X and TikTok. For example, on August 26th, 2023, Redditor u/Clay_Bro posted a meme to /r/Hololive^[5] drawing the twins in the medium support Adidas sports bra, garnering over 6,800 upvotes in seven months (shown below).

On October 8th, YouTuber^[8] 超級蘋果人SuperAppleMan! posted a video animating a clip from a Fowamoco stream where Mococo releases a "Mococo beam," garnering over 700,000 views in five months (shown below).

On December 23rd, 2023, YouTuber^[6] sui uploaded an AI generated version of Mococo singing the Fetty Wap song "679," garnering over 1.7 million views in three months (shown below).

On February 7th, 2024, TikToker^[7] @dekaigen posted an animated video set to the cover, garnering over 20 million views in a month (shown below, left). The original sound was used over 25,000 times in the same span of time (example shown below, right).
