Blogueirinha is a Brazilian YouTuber, comedian and social media influencer based on a character created by Bruno Matos. The Brazilian started producing content for YouTube in 2016, going viral with the persona of a spoiled and arrogant influencer. The character uses popular Brazilian internet catchphrases like “tutupom” (English: "All good?") and “melhor do mundo” (English: "best in the world"). Image macros, GIFs and clips of Blogueirinha are often used by the LGBTQ+ community for ironic memes on social media.

Online History

The Brazilian YouTuber Bruno Matos started to use the persona of an arrogant influencer called "Blogueirinha de Merda" (English: "shit blogger") on July 31st, 2016, using a towel in his head to pretend it was a woman's hair. In his first YouTube[1] upload as the character "Blogueirinha," the creator did a sarcastic video titled "How to take Tumblr pictures." The video (seen below) garnered 47,000 views and 120 comments in seven years.

On March 23rd, 2017, one of the first viral videos of the character was posted on Facebook,[2] titled "My First Time," in which Blogueirinha explains how she lost her virginity. The post (seen below) amassed 798,000 views and 24,000 likes in six years.

on January 26th, 2018, Matos explained in an interview[3] for the Brazilian news website Leia Já that the character is a satire of famous teen YouTubers that "treat young people without common sense."

Multishow Talk Show 'Difícil de Focar'

On November 2018 the Talk Show program "Difícil de Focar" (English: "Hard To Focus") premiered on the cable TV channel Multishow starring Blogueirinha and other guests. The channel uploaded one of the first episodes[4] of the show on November 22nd, 2018, featuring comedians Victor Meyniel and Natty talking about Thanksgiving and Christmas. The video (seen below) garnered 770,000 views and 46,000 likes in four years.

Music Festivals TV Coverage

As Blogueirinha, the character was part of the coverage of the 2019 edition of the music festivals Lollapalooza Brazil and Rock in Rio. The participation of the character as a host caused a series of viral moments to be shared on social media. For example, this October 9th, 2019 interview[5] with the drag queen singer Lia Clark became a viral meme on Twitter after Blogueirinha asked the interviewer for a "good drag queen" example and the performer said her own name, to which Blogueirinha sarcastically responded by asking the same question, infuriating the singer. A clip of the moment was reposted (seen below) on Twitter[6] by @damonperpetuo on February 1st, 2023, receiving 301,000 views and 8,000 likes in four months.

On September 30, 2019, an interaction between Blogueirinha and singer Jojo Todynho at the Rock in Rio 2019 interview program gained virality on social media. The "Tá gritando porque?" (English: "Why are you screaming?") meme was created after the host started to shout at Jojo, who angrily answered in the same tone "Why are you screaming!?" A clip (seen below) of the moment was posted on YouTube[7] on April 28th, 2020 by YBMemes, receiving 36,000 views and 1,400 likes in three years.

Online Presence

As of May 2023, Blogueirinha's YouTube[8] channel has 1.2 million followers, her Instagram[9] has 2.2 million followers, her TikTok[10] has 1.5 million followers and her Twitter[11] account has 268,000 followers. Fans of the creator often clips, GIFs and image macros from her videos on social media as memes. For example, the Facebook[12] page @cinemarcado shared a video (seen below) of Blogueirinha singing Lady Gaga's song "Shallow," which garnered 67,000 views and 1,800 likes in four years.

Clips of Blogueirinha have been going viral on TikTok. For instance, TikTok[13] user @lucianogst.flop shared a clip of the comedian telling a story about her fake daughter. Uploaded on April 22nd, 2023, the video (seen below, left) garnered 7.7 million plays and 805,000 likes in one month. Another viral video, uploaded on May 9th, 2023 by TikTok[14] user @blogcerejanegra shows a clip of the creator interviewing the Brazilian influencer Nicole Bahls. The video (seen below, right) garnered 841,000 plays and 65,000 likes in one month.

Bruno Matos is a comedian born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on January 3rd, 1994. The creator also has a YouTube[15] channel outside the Blogueirinha character, detailing the behind-the-scenes of the content he produces.
