Bbno$ born Alexander Gumuchian is a Canadian rapper from Vancouver who has gained notoriety on TikTok in 2019 with hit songs like "Lalala" in collaboration with Y2K in 2019 and "Nursery." He began uploading music to Soundcloud in 2015 but his success was launched in 2016 when a Chinese dance crew used one of his songs.
Online History
On July 19th, 2016, bbno$ uploaded his first track to Soundcloud "run it up prod. slight" which gained over 460,600 plays and 8,100 likes in three years (shown below).
In November 2016, a member of the famous Chinese dance crew TFBoys danced one of his "Yoyo Tokyo"[1] and the song became a viral hit overnight (shown below).
On June 7th, 2019, Bbno$ and Y2k released the song "lalala" which quickly became a hit on TikTok. The long gained over 45.8 million views on YouTube and was featured in over 2.6 million TikTok[2] videos in a year. On January 13th, 2020, Bbno$ released a music video for "Shining on my ex" to YouTube which received over 4.6 million views and 188,000 likes in four months (shown below, right).
Reputation
Bbno$ and his viral fame has be the subject of articles published by Good Juice Box,[3] Rolling Stone[4] and Genius.[5] As of May 2020, Bbno$ has over 156,500 followers on Twitter[6] and 287,200 followers on TikTok.[7]

Anime Is An Important Part Of Our Culture refers to the sound clip taken from Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School featured in a series of TikTok videos beginning in September 2019. The sound clip, which included the song "nursery prod.letra" by bbno$, was first used in Cosplay TikTok videos and then evolved into videos of TikTokers stumbling then walking toward the camera on the beat. On September 16th, 2019, TikToker tsun.bun uploaded the sound clip over "nursery prod.letra" by bbno$ and used it ina Junko cosplay video (shown below). The video garnered over 3,300 likes in eight months. The sound was used in over 445,000 videos in eight months.
Personal Life
Alexander Gumuchian was born in Vancouver and is now based in Kelowna, British Columbia and recently finished a degree in kinesiology but plans on furthering his career as a rapper.[3]
