Pedro Pascal Eating a Sandwich or Pedro Pascal Eating Toast is an exploitable video meme template that uses a clip of actor Pedro Pascal eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. After the clip of Pascal was used in a viral TikTok video, a CapCut template using the clip became prominent on TikTok in March 2023. The original video originates from a LADbible "Snack Wars" YouTube video titled, "Pedro Pascal & Jon Favreau Compare American and Chilean Snacks."

On March 1st, 2023, the YouTube[1] channel LADBible TV posted a video titled, "Pedro Pascal & Jon Favreau Compare American and Chilean Snacks | Snack Wars | @LADbible." At the 6:46-minute timestamp, Pedro Pascal can be seen taking a bite out of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
On March 7th, 2023, TikToker[2] @getbybus posted a video that used a green-screen edit of the aforementioned clip, set against a joke that read, "When everyone on work is drowning in tasks but I have five minutes before my break is over." The video gathered over 1.1 million views and over 100,000 likes in over ten days (seen below, left). On March 16th, TikToker[3] @rosierevolts posted a video with the original CapCut template subsequently used by participants in the trend, gathering over 36,000 views and 11,000 likes in over four days (seen below, right).

On March 9th, 2023, TikToker[4] @cheyennebloemberg posted a video using the green-screen clip of Pascal, gathering over 2.6 million plays and 200,000 likes in over 10 days (seen below, left). On March 15th, 2023, TikToker[5] @kaylwrighty posted a video using the clip of Pascal as well, gathering over 1.2 million plays and 160,000 likes in over five days (seen below, right).
On March 17th, TikToker[6] @christopher_sierra posted a video using the template as well, gathering over 1 million plays and 80,000 likes in three days (seen below, left). Also on March 17th, TikToker[7] @meighanotoole posted a video using the CapCut template, gathering over 500,000 plays and 50,000 likes in a similar timeframe (seen below, right).
