Origin

During Wrestlemania XXXIV weekend, which began April 6th, 2018 with the annual WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony, WWE ran a commercial for an upcoming film dramatizing wrestler Paige's life called Fighting With My Family. In the commercial, Paige introduces the clip. However, wrestling fans picked up on some awkward details about her introduction, including a moment of dead air before she begins talking and a bizarre face Paige makes after introducing herself (moment shown below).

Spread

During Wrestlemania weekend, fans joked about the clip, which aired several times during the major events of the weekend. For example, on April 8th, Twitter user @Unpaulfessional[1] tweeted a joke about the awkward delivery of Paige's line, gaining over 1,200 retweets and 3,200 likes (shown below, left). On the 9th, Twitter user @youlikebillie[2] uploaded a parody which edited Paige's face into the Here's Johnny scene from The Shining, gaining 40 retweets and 84 likes (shown below, right).

On the 9th, Redditor Indominus_Zero[3] started a thread in /r/squaredcircle suggesting that the "Paige Here" expression should be the new Haitchface, a Bait and Switch meme in wrestling fandom in which a user hyperlinks to a bizarre expression of WWE wrestler Triple H. The thread gained over 2,400 upvotes. Additionally, there were some video remixes of the clip posted to Twitter and YouTube. YouTuber Jim Gilmore uploaded a minute and a half clip of Paige saying the phrase repeatedly, gaining over 6,800 views (shown below, top). Twitter user @Losidolo remixed the clip with a video of wrestling tag team The Bludgeon Brothers destroying a television, gaining over 300 retweets (shown below, bottom).
