Out of Body Spank refers to a series of TikTok videos in which users implement TikTok's "Out of Body" feature to create the visual effect of a clone spanking themself to the song "It's Raining Men" by The Weather Girls.

Origin

On April 20th, 2019, TikTok user @CoolKidDom upload a sound clip from American singer duo The Weather Girls' 1983^[1] hit "It's Raining men"to create a video using the "out of body" TikTok feature. The video gained only 800 likes in a month (shown below).

Spread

In May, 2019, @coolkiddom's sound clip was being used in TikTok videos recreating his initial video. On May 14th, 2019, TikTok user @elijah3m uploaded a video using the visual effect which gained over 85,000 likes in a week (shown below, left). On May 19th, @zephanclak and @laurieelle uploaded their own renditions accumulating over 94,400 likes and 83,600 likes respectively in two days (shown below, right).
