About

One Pound Fish, also known as Very Very Cheap 1 Pound Fish, refers to a viral video of a fish market salesman singing an original jingle about how cheap and high-quality his one pound fish are, emphasizing the deal, six for five pound, one pound each. The original video was posted to YouTube in 2012. The man's name was Muhammed Shahid who traded fish at an East London market. The video went viral again on TikTok in early 2025, mostly because of a remix that added a hip-hop beat a part of the jerk and hoodtrap genres.
