Okarun, See You Tomorrow! refers to a quote in the anime and manga Dandadan said by the character Momo Ayase to Ken Takakura (also known as Okarun) when he is walking away. The scene became a famous panel among the manga's fandom. In 2025, "Okarun, See You Tomorrow!" became a TikTok sound when an edit combined the soundbite with the song "Apple Cider" by beabadoobee. The "Apple Cider" audio was used for TikTok photo slideshows and videos, notably gaining use in June 2025.

Origin

On May 25th, 2021, Chapter 8 of Dandadan titled "Let's Eat Crab" was released.^[1] In the chapter, Okarun is walking away from Momo Ayase, and the two say goodbye. They both think about the word "goodbye" and then Momo Ayase says, "Okarun, see you tomorrow!" (shown below).^[2]^[3]

On October 24th, 2024, episode 4 of the Dandadan anime titled "Kicking Turbo Granny's Ass" was released on American streaming platforms.^[4] The scene in the abovementioned panel is animated in the episode. It was uploaded by YouTuber^[5] OtakuOasis on October 24th, gaining over 2,800 views in eight months (shown below).

The scene was used in edits on YouTube^[6] and TikTok^[7] in late 2024.

On January 19th, 2025, TikToker^[8] @vviffler shared an NBA edit, combining the English dub of the "Okarun, See You Tomorrow!" scene and the song "Apple Cider" by beabadoobee.^[9] Over five months, the video received over 135,000 likes (shown below).

The TikTok sound^[10] of the abovementioned edit received viral use in the following months, surfacing en masse in June 2025. For instance, on June 2nd, TikToker^[15] @lifeispoiintless posted a video with a caption that started, "Gang I lied, I do wanna experience that corny shyt," and then listed activities like "go to photo booths together." Over 18 days, the video gained roughly 557,000 likes (shown below).

On June 3rd, 2025, TikToker^[11] @user1747299777 posted a photo with the sound that read, "May the Lord shield our love, deepen our connection, and keep us side by side forever," gaining over 94,400 likes in 17 days.

On June 4th, TikToker^[12] @stxv.nn posted a video that read, "I lied, I do wanna fall in love like the movies, hold hands, match outfits, SOFT LAUNCH, and have photo booth dates, I actually wanna experience that corny shi." Over 16 days, it received roughly 434,700 likes (shown below).

On June 13th, 2025, TikToker^[13] @nobarrs_ posted a video that showed a transition between the beginning and end of 10th grade, gaining over 333,500 likes in a week (shown below).

On June 19th, TikToker^[14] @leecha_vhs posted a video with text reading, "When u scrolling on TikTok and u see a photo dump wit dat bum ahh 'Okarun see you tomorrow' audio," gaining over 52,600 likes in a day (shown below).
