Oh She's 2D? Lois, Spin Around is a viral video of TikToker @papawheelie_ standing next to a 2D drawing of Lois Griffin and saying, "Oh, she's 2D? Lois, spin around," followed by the drawing of Lois turning all the way around as if not 2D. The video was originally uploaded around November 2022 and became the subject of memes over the following years, most notably, inspiring redraws and reanimations in April 2024.
Origin
On or around November 6th, 2022, TikToker @papawheelie_ posted a now-deleted video in which, standing next to a 2D drawing of Lois Griffin from Family Guy, he answers a commenter who wrote, "Why is she 2D." He says, "Oh, she's 2D? Lois, spin around," and Lois appears to spin around in a full circle. The video was reuploaded to YouTube[1] that day, garnering over 24,000 views in just over a year.
Spread
In April 2024, the video inspired a series of reanimations on TikTok replacing Lois with other characters. On April 9th, 2024, TikToker[2] @millerbluedog posted an animation recreating the original, garnering over 474,000 views in a week (shown below, left). On April 14th, TikToker[3] @pinkpom posted a version of the meme that gained over 470,000 views in a day (shown below, right).
That same day, TikToker[4] @delllups posted a version of the meme referencing the show We Bare Bears, garnering over 470,000 views in a day (shown below).
