Office Siren Trend is a fashion trend inspired by 1990s and early 2000s corporate culture and elements of the femme fatale aesthetic. The slang term and related trend emerged on TikTok in late 2023 and early 2024, usually featuring sleek, sexy office wear, including skintight pencil skirts, button-downs with a revealing touch and accessories such as glasses and high heels. The office siren has been the subject of fan art, memes and viral debate regarding the fashion trend since it emerged in the early 2020s.

Origin

On September 17th, 2023, TikTok[1] user @asias.jpg posted one of the earliest mentions of the "office siren" fashion trend, describing the movement as a corporate aesthetic, often using iconic '90s and early 2000s figures as inspiration. The video (seen below) amassed over 448,000 plays and 71,000 likes in two years.

In a March 2024 article, Vogue[2] described the office siren as a digital native trend, "grabbing a foothold among young women on TikTok, many of whom had probably never worked in a corporate environment."

Spread

The office siren trend gained traction in late 2023 and 2024, spawning video essays, memes and other content based on the corporate fashion aesthetic.

For example, on October 22nd, 2023, X[3] user @saintdoII posted a Markgong ss24 "office siren" ad campaign shоt by photographer volta jpg (seen below), amassing more than 156,000 views and 4,200 likes in two years.



On November 27th, 2023, YouTuber[4] SACHEU posted a video titled "The 2000's Office Siren Makeup Tutorial," explaining the trend and how to do makeup in the style (seen below), which received over 518,000 views and 46,000 likes in two years.



On March 15th, 2025, TikTok[5] user @zan2real posted a video wearing an office siren outfit while pretending to work in front of a PC at the beach. The video (seen below) amassed more than 6 million plays and 1.6 million likes in a month.
