O Saki Saki refers to a dance trend popular on TikTok in which TikTokers backbend and clap their hands to the song "O Saki Saki" from the Indian film Balta House. Although the dance move was introduced in July 2019 by actors in the film, the dance didn't become popular on TikTok until July 2020 when the dance move was reintroduced in a popular video.
On July 14th, 2019, T-series released the O Saki Saki dance scene of Batla House (shown below). The video gained over 428 million views in a year.
On July 20th, TikToker and actor awezdarbar uploaded a video of the dance moves to promote the film (shown below). The video accumulated over 5.3 million likes in a year.
On July 24th, 2019, TikToker poonam_gupta_743126 used the dance move and awezdarbar's sound clip and garnered over 731,400 likes in a year (shown below, left).On June 17th, 2020, TikToker delaradelbarian reintroduced the dance move and acquired over 437,600 likes for the video (shown below, center). On June 20th, TikToker kissymichy uploaded a variation in which she accidentally loses her wig performing the dance and received over 673,200 likes in ten days.
