Norton the Mailman first appeared in season 2 episode 22a, "Something Smells."^[1]

Norton has appeared in at least 39 episodes of Spongebob since season 2, often in cameo and minor roles. In Season 9 episode 191a, "Squid Plus One," his name is revealed. This episode is also notable as it features Norton in one of his most major appearances, befriending Squidward.
