#NoMenMidterms and #LetWomenDecide are hashtags associated with a hoax campaign orchestrated by 4chan users encouraging liberal men to abstain from voting in the 2018 midterm elections.
Origin
On July 17th, 2018, a thread was submitted to 4chan's /pol/ board about a hoax campaign to spread photoshopped images encouraging "liberal men" to abstain from voting in the upcoming midterm elections (shown below).[1]
Spread
That day, photoshopped images for the hoax campaign were posted on Twitter along with the hashtags[4][5] (shown below).
On July 18th, additional threads for the campaign were created on /pol/.[2] Meanwhile, a #NoMenMidterms photoshopped image was submitted to /r/The_Donald[3] by Redditor jesuss_son (shown below). Within 48 hours, the post gained over 1,400 points (96% upvoted) and 35 comments.
