Origin

A "song of the summer" is a commercially and culturally popular song that embodies positive, jumpy, summertime vibes. For example, in 2024, Billboard[1] named "I Had Some Help" by Post Malone the song of the summer, while Official Charts[2] named "Espresso" by Sabrina Carpenter the song of the summer.
