No, I'm With The Science Team refers to a series of videos inspired by a video in the Are You Seriously Watching Porn By Yourself? meme in which a woman asks members of Half-Life's Science Team if they're watching porn by themselves followed by the reaction, "no, I'm with the Science Team." The trend began in 2020.

Are You Seriously Watching Porn By Yourself? / Nah, I'm With My Boys

Around March 31st, 2019, now-deleted Instagram[1] user @noah_yagh posted a video in which he films a porno advertisement featuring a censored, naked Cameron Canela asking if the viewer is watching porn by themself, followed by the camera flipping to the user and his friends. @Noah_yagh says, "Nah, I'm with my boys," and the boys all cheer and hold up a hand. The video was reposted by the @barstoolsports Instagram[2] page on that day where it went viral, gaining over 4.8 million views in two years (shown below).

No! I'm With The Science Team!

On February 7th, 2020, Virtual webcam model Projekt Melody, who frequently does pornographic streams on Chaturbate, did a three-hour long clothed live stream. The whole stream was uploaded to her official PornHub channel, titled "OFFICIAL Projekt Melody 02/07/2020 Stream." At timestamp 14:30, Melody says, "Are you seriously watching porn by yourself?" at the request of a fan (shown below, reuploaded to YouTube).

On February 7th, 2020, Twitter[4] user @TruNoom posted a video showing the Projekt Melody Chaturbate clip where she says the line, followed by a pan to the chat bar, where a number of viewers have commented, "nah I'm with my boys" as the audio from the viral "with my boys" meme plays (shown below). The tweet gained over 10,700 likes and 3,100 retweets in a year.

On February 9th, Twitter[5] user @RicePanduh posted a video in which Melody saying the line plays, followed by a clip of the boys cheering overdubbed with a line of dialogue from Half-Life in which a Science Team member says, "No! I'm with the Science Team!" gaining over 2,100 likes in a year (shown below). The clip was reposted to YouTube[6] that day by visual entertainmant, gaining over 300,000 views.

On February 16th, 2020, YouTuber[7] Keez posted a video they made in Discord in which it appears as if Melody enters a Discord group chat with a Science Team member who claims to be looking forward to his upcoming "research" and asks him if he's watching porn by himself, to which he replies "No! I'm with the Science Team!" and other scientists enter the room to chat and defend the scientist, screaming and leaving when a G-man enters (shown below). The videos gained over 1.1 million views in a year.

"Science team" videos referencing the "with my boys" meme continued to pop up on YouTube over the following months, some gaining considerable attention. On February 15th, YouTuber[8] FreshTheEnd posted a video recreating the original "I'm with the boys" video in Garry's Mod using the Projekt Melody clip and assets from Half Life, gaining over 5.1 million views in a year (shown below, left). On March 28th, YouTuber[9] DuskyAI recreated the Discord meme with Half Life assets, gaining over 933,000 views in a comparable span of time (shown below, right).

On February 25th, 2021, YouTuber[3] yoms posted a video titled "no I'm with the science team!" following a new format, gaining over 7,000 views in six months (shown below).

Are You Seriously Watching Porn By Yourself? refers to a series of bait-and-switch videos in which pornographic actress Cameron Canela from a commercial for pornographic website Camster asks "Are you seriously watching porn by yourself?" and is followed by a humorous response.
