On February 23rd, 2024, TikToker[1] @lav3ndr_ posted a video of a female cashier at Chick-fil-A taking her order and making funny faces, prominently asking, "No Chick-fil-A sauce?" Over five days, the video received roughly 1.4 million plays and 293,300 likes (shown below).
Spread
After the original video went viral, TikToker[2] @tasmanian.tucker reposted one of @lav3ndr_'s videos (shown below, left), showing the same cashier. @tasmanian.tucker's video, posted on February 23rd, 2024, received over 225,300 plays and 10,600 likes in five days (shown below, right). The cashier's name tag read "Gina."
On February 26th, 2024, X[3] user @Wild_XW tweeted the original video, captioning it, "What's in the sauce? 😂," gaining over 21.8 million views and 24,000 likes in two days (shown below). Also on February 26th, TikToker[4] @dogface_x reposted the video, gaining over 20.5 million plays and 1.8 million likes in two days.
During the same timeframe, the original TikToker @lav3ndr_ continued to post videos of her friend Gina, like one TikTok[5] uploaded on February 26th, showing Gina making the same face at Friendly's, gaining over 164,800 plays and 10,600 likes in two days (shown below).
Also, Gina started to go viral on her own account @.gina.lynn, like one TikTok[6] posted on February 24th, 2024, that received over 438,600 plays and 32,700 likes in four days (since deleted).
