About

The Nick Eh 30 Intro refers to the intro song and video for Fortnite streamer Nick Eh 30's livestreams. The intro's lyrics include, "Never back down, never give up," "Eh-mazing" and "For the meme, the dream, the stream and the Eh Team," among others. Nick Eh 30's intro became a meme on TikTok in mid-2023, following other viral memes that labeled him as cringe such as his You're the King? I'm the King! clip.

Origin

On December 4th, 2019, Nick Eh 30 posted a video to his Facebook[1] that he titled, "New Stream Intro! Thoughts?" The upload is currently the first known sharing of his stream intro, and over the course of four years, it gained roughly 1,700 views and 160 reactions (shown below).

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeh-mazing
Never back down.
Never give up.
[It is… Nick Eh 30]
For the meme,
The dream,
The stream,
And the Eeeeeeeeeeeeeh Teammmm
[Nick Eh 30]

The intro was soon used by Nick Eh 30 on his Twitch[2] channel, and it was later reposted to YouTube[3] by YouTuber Nitrez on October 15th, 2020, where it received roughly 497,000 views and 9,300 likes in three years.

Despite a 2019 origin, the Nick Eh 30 intro didn't become a prevalent meme until 2023 on TikTok. The trend predominantly started on June 21st, 2023, when TikToker[4] @davis.milfs posted a sped-up version of the intro, writing in text overlay, "The start of Nick Eh 30 stream is a whole cartoon intro," gaining roughly 5 million plays and 714,800 likes in 15 days (shown below).

Spread

Soon after the aforementioned video was uploaded by TikToker @davis.milfs, others on the app started using the intro, typically pairing it with humorous captions. For instance, on June 23rd, 2023, TikToker[5] @hunt3r._ posted the intro video at its regular speed, writing, "What is this intro," and gaining roughly 6.1 million plays and 648,400 likes in 13 days (shown below, left). On June 25th, TikToker[6] @tvixzy paired the intro with the question, "What's your opinion on racism?" gaining roughly 1.2 million plays and 178,200 likes in 11 days (shown below, right).

Going into late June and early July 2023, meme creators on TikTok began using the TikTok sound[7] of @hunt3r._'s video[5] for photo slideshows and other types of content. For instance, on June 25th, 2023, TikToker[8] @unclelinkster2 posted a creepy video with the sound, gaining roughly 2.1 million plays and 291,300 likes in 11 days (shown below, left). On June 27th, TikToker[9] @maxattack9 posted a video of many babies rollerskating, labeling them as Nick Eh 30's fans. The video gained roughly 4 million plays and 656,200 likes in nine days (shown below, right).

On July 1st, 2023, Twitter[10] user @AKBear_ posted a video that showed Nick Eh 30's intro on a Times Square billboard in New York City. The tweet received roughly 6,200 likes in five days (shown below). It also went viral via reposts to TikTok.[11]

In addition to all of the memes, Nick Eh 30 started using his intro to "hype" himself up when playing Fortnite on stream seemingly in an ironic and self-effacing way. For instance, on July 3rd, 2023, TikToker[12] @mota_edits posted a video of Nick Eh 30 listening to his intro, gaining roughly 5 million plays and 702,300 likes in three days (shown below).
