On February 22nd, 2023, TikToker^[1] @nate_di_winer posted a video showing him doing the "wine," a Carribean dance move involving shaking one's hips. Nate can also be seen performing synchronized moves with his dance partner. The video gathered over 2 million plays and 180,000 likes in a year (seen below).

Spread

On April 24th, 2024, the Instagram^[2] page @notratchetopera posted a video with a different song edited into it, gathering over 82,000 likes in two weeks (seen below).

On May 4th, 2024, X^[3] user @india_regal posted a version of the video with Kendrick Lamar's 2024 diss track "Not Like Us" against Drake, gathering over 87,000 likes in a week (seen below).

Also on May 4th, X^[4] user @meltborne posted a version of the video with Tinashe's song "Nasty" edited into it, gathering over 46,000 likes in a week (seen below).

On May 9th, 2024, R&B singer Tinashe^[5] posted a video editing herself into the aforementioned meme, gathering over 400,000 plays and 96,000 likes on TikTok in a day (seen below).
