On June 3rd, 2025, X^[1] user @wownicebuttdude posted "My boyfriend got a third monitor" along with a screenshot of a text message sent to her by her boyfriend. The post text begins with a photograph of the boyfriend's new monitor setup. The monitor on the left shows a selfie of his girlfriend, the one to the upper right of it shows another selfie and the one underneath that shows a photo of her cleavage. A text under the photo reads, "Desk is all set up." The post gained over 321,000 likes and 8,800 reposts in three days.

The post went viral, inspiring redraws, memes and discourse online. On June 3rd, 2025, X^[2] user @Nimsshi posted an edit of the image replacing the images of @wownicebuttdude with images of K-Pop artist Chanyeol, garnering over 1,000 likes in three days.

On June 4th, Facebook^[3] user Ritsu Yumi posted a version featuring Mydei from Honkai Star Rail, garnering over 400 reactions in two days.

Later that day, X^[4] user @PeachiieKeen posted a redraw of the meme referencing the Persona series, garnering over 5,000 likes in two days.

Also on June 4th, 2025, X^[5] user @ilubobohu quoted the original post, writing, "there’s literally nothing in heterosexual relationships except men objectifying women and calling it 'love,'" garnering over 12,000 likes in two days.

On June 5th, X^[6] user @pastapilled posted a screenshot of the interaction, writing, "(Bravely) if I had a boyfriend I would want him to think I’m hot," garnering over 221,000 likes in a day.

That same day, X^[7] user @WraithLaFrentz quoted the original post, writing, "Doing this but replacing her chest with a nicer pair and hoping she doesn’t notice," garnering over 1,200 likes in a day.
