Multiple Personalities Captor refers to a series of images pairing a screenshot from the M. Night Shyamalan film Split of a character saying "Help! I've been abducted by a man with split personalities!" with a pop culture reference to a character with multiple identities.

Origin

In the M. Night Shyamalan film Split (2016), James McAvoy plays a character with 23 different personalities.[1] He abducts three girls. In the film, one of the characters is seen crying ,"Help! I've been abducted by a man with split personalities!" into a walkie talkie.

In mid-January 2017, the above screenshot was made into a template that grew popular on the /r/dankmemes subreddit. While not the earliest, one of the first and most popular examples paired the image with shots of different Filthy Frank characters on January 22nd, 2017.



On January 24th, the meme was covered by the Daily Dot, who dubbed it "Multiple Personalities Captor."[2]
