About
MrBeast Rented Out an Entire Theater to Watch the Talk Tuah Podcast, Listen to KSI and Eat Lunchly is a copypasta inspired by a viral video about a stunt event held by MrBeast in early October 2024 in which he rented a movie theater to view internet-relevant content and eat his brand of snack food, Lunchly. The video and headline were joked about online for the overload of internet-related buzzwords, similar to how the Baby Gronk Rizzed Up Livvy Dunne video became a meme online.
Origin
On October 9th, 2024, MrBeast posted a TikTok[1] showing how he'd rented out a movie theater for friends in which they watched the Talk Tuah podcast, listened to "Thick of It" by KSI and ate Lunchly, the snack food brand owned by MrBeast, KSI and Logan Paul. It gained over 8.6 million views in one day.
That same day, the TikTok was tweeted about as though it were a newsworthy story by several publications using the same text as the original post.
For example, on October 9th, Dexerto[2] tweeted it with the text, "MrBeast rented out an entire theater to watch the Talk Tuah podcast, listen to KSI, and eat Lunchly," gaining over 3,100 retweets and 17,000 likes in one day.
Spread
The tweet became a copypasta on Twitter / X almost immediately after it was posted, as people reposted it nearly word-for-word in an attempt to highlight its ridiculousness.
For example, on October 9th, 2024, Twitter user @CantEverDie[3] reposted the tweet with a joking impression of MrBeast, gaining over 140 retweets and 11,000 likes.
Others posted jokes about the tweet as it continued garnering virality, with many criticizing it and making it appear bleak. For example, on October 10th, Twitter user @LeftAtLondon[4] joked they would do "Inglorious Basterds" there (referencing the infamous nitrate projector scene in the film), gaining over 500 retweets and 10,000 likes in a matter of hours.
