Morgenshtern X Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Remix, also known as Russian Mickey Mouse Remix, refers to a mashup of Russian musician Morgenshtern's song "DOMOFON / ChIChA" (ДОМОФОН / ЧИЧА) and the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse song "Hot Dog Dance." The partial mashup was first uploaded to TikTok in July 2021 where it went viral as an original sound. It was extended by amateur producers that month and went viral again in August 2021, seeing particular use by Russian TikToker @glebasee.
Origin
On July 2nd, 2021, Russian TikToker[1] @droba.d posted a video (shown below) showcasing a beat they were working on mashing up Morgenshtern's "DOMOFON"[2] and a song from the 2006 animated children's series Mickey Mouse Clubhouse called "Hot Dog Dance,"[3] in which the characters sing about hot dogs.
On July 7th, YouTuber heaveny posted an extended version of the track, gaining over 745,000 views in a month (shown below).

The original sound for@droba.d's remix went viral on TikTok over the course of the month, being used over 50,000 times by late August.
On July 18th, 2021, TikToker[4] @thepervysensei posted a video in which a man gets his friend to get out of bed at the promise of femboys in the yard, splicing footage of Genos from the One Punch Man anime getting up from the ground over the beat drop to represent his determination to get out of bed, gaining over 3.3 million views in a month (shown below).
On August 8th, TikToker[5] @peachshoujo posted a similar video splicing footage from Angel Beats! of characters jumping out a window over the beat to showcase her doing things her friends do, gaining over 2.6 million views in two weeks (shown below).
Dance Trend
On July 20th, 2021, TikToker @forward_kb posted a video using the song over Russian footage from SpongeBob SquarePants, gaining over 7 million views in a month (shown below).
The original sound for this video, adding Squidward's voice to the beginning, became notably popular over the course of August. On August 2nd, Russian TikToker[6] @glebasee posted a video dancing to the song in an exaggerated way, gaining over 26 million views in three weeks (shown below).
He continued to do the dance in numerous videos, gaining viral success with a number of them and quickly becoming known for the dance (examples shown below, left and right).
The dance spread over the course of August across Russian and English TikTok circles, becoming notably popular by mid-August. On August 6th, TikToker[7] @danya.pod posted a video dancing to the song, gaining over 14.1 million views in three weeks (shown below, left). On August 19th, TikToker[8] @cloutysky posted a video referencing @glebasee's heavy use of the dance and doing it herself, gaining over 11.7 million views in four days (shown below, right).
