About
Miss Rabbit Has Fainted, continued Miss Rabbit Has Fainted Again, refers to a scene from the children's cartoon Peppa Pig in which the character Miss Rabiit faints in front of many characters in an episode called "The Queen" in which she meets the Queen of England. The scene and the British narrator's voice became a meme on TikTok in mid-2023 as creators used the TikTok sound as the audio for memes of them falling, or being defeated, in a given scenario.
Origin
On June 4th, 2012, season 4, episode 27 of Peppa Pig titled "The Queen" aired on television.[1] The episode involved the character Miss Rabbit getting a letter from the Queen of England, and her and her friends, including Peppa Pig's family, going to meet the Queen.[1] In one scene of the episode, Miss Rabbit reads the letter sent to her by the Queen and immediately faints. The narrator then says, "Miss Rabbit has fainted." Later on in the episode, Miss Rabbit faints again in the Queen's Palace, making the narrator say, "Miss Rabbit has fainted again" (YouTube[2][3] uploads shown below).
The narrator's quotes about Miss Rabbit fainting were referenced in non-viral tweets[4][5] in the 2010s. However, the scenes didn't gain prominent usage in memes until 2022 and 2023 on TikTok. For instance, on February 14th, 2022, TikToker[6] @www.missrabbit.co.uk posted a sped-up version of the episode, gaining roughly 57,300 likes in one year. On May 30th, 2023, TikToker[7] @hazaledd1 posted a similar video, gaining roughly 205,100 likes in one month (shown below, left). On June 11th, 2023, TikToker[8] @jklovrhearts4 stitched both "fainting" scenes together, writing in text, "me after seeing my science test scores," and receiving roughly 9.4 million plays and 2.1 million likes in 11 days (shown below, right).
Spread
Also on June 11th, 2023, two other videos on TikTok used the Miss Rabbit Has Fainted scene, however, neither were as viral as TikToker[8] @jklovrhearts4's video. For instance, one was posted by TikToker[9] @nxmvh._, captioned, "me when i see him," gaining roughly 36,200 plays and 5,500 likes in 11 days (shown below, left). The other was posted by TikToker[10] @relatableeee11, having a similar caption to TikToker[8] @jklovrhearts4's video, gaining roughly 212,500 plays and 27,800 likes in 11 days (shown below, right).
Going into June 2023, various TikTokers used the TikTok sounds of each aforementioned video, predominantly using the sound of TikToker[8] @jklovrhearts4's video. For instance, on June 12th, 2023, TikToker[11] @kaylaalouisee2 recreated @jklovrhearts4's video in real life by filming herself fainting, gaining roughly 768,100 plays and 158,100 likes in 10 days (shown below, left). On June 13th, 2023, TikToker[12] @annapmack posted a similar video of herself fainting, gaining roughly 14.7 million plays and 2.8 million likes in nine days (shown below, right).
Over the course of 11 days, the most-used TikTok[13] sound of the trend gained over 142,800 videos using it. The trend also gained compilation videos on YouTube.[14]
