"Mesmerizer" is a Vocaloid song produced by 32ki and sung by the voices of Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto. On April 27th, 2024, Vocaloid producer 32ki published the song and music video for "Mesmerizer" to YouTube,[1] garnering over 39 million views in two months (shown below). The video features Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto dancing side-by-side as confetti falls around them, with various imagery appearing in a divider in the center of the screen. Throughout the video, the characters' faces occasionally change to a scary or darker expression.

"Mesmerizer" became notably popular over the following months, inspiring covers, remixes, fan art and other fan content. On April 30th, 2024, YouTuber[2] sillymako posted a video analyzing the song and what its video and lyrics could mean, garnering over 400,000 views in just over a month (shown below, left). On May 20th, YouTuber[3] Soybean posted a video recreating the music video with Roblox characters, garnering over 800,000 views in three weeks (shown below, right).
On May 24th, YouTuber[4] Shiino Nono posted a cover of the song that gained over 785,000 views in three weeks. On June 2nd, YouTuber[5] Sudo Goji VGM posted a chiptune remix of the song, along with a music video stylizing the music video in a Gameboy style, garnering over 144,000 views in two weeks (shown below).
On June 4th, X[6] user @heggdaquyt posted a piece of fan art inspired by the song's music video, garnering over 39,000 likes in a week (shown below, left). On the same day, X[7] user @japan_tem posted a piece of fan art that gained over 21,000 likes in the same span of time (shown below, right).
