Meri Shaktiyon Ka Galat Istemaal Kiya Gaya Maa is a catchphrase and image macro from the Bollywood film Krrish. The screencap being used as a meme depicts Rohit (played by Hrithik Roshan) calling his mother to say "My powers have been misused, Mom." The screenshot first went viral in 2017 on Twitter, with people using the image to signify their abilities being diminished or their potential being underutilized.

Origin

Krrish was released in theaters worldwide on June 30th, 2006. The movie was a sequel to the 2003 science-fiction/action film Koi… Mil Gaya, and followed Hrithik Roshan as he played the double role of Rohit and his son Krrish. The line "Meri shaktiyon ka galat istemaal kiya gaya maa" is from a scene where the Rainman-esque character Rohit gets kidnapped by Dr. Siddhant Arya and is used to make a computer that could result in massive destruction. The scene can be accessed via a YouTube^[1] video uploaded on February 17th, 2021 (seen below).

On September 10th, 2017, Twitter^[2] account Bollywood Memers posted a screencap from scene alongside a caption that read, "When you crack a joke to make your friend laugh and they use the same joke to make their crush laugh." The tweet gathered approximately 11 likes in five years (seen below).
