Origin

On July 16th, 2018, blogger Lori Alexander of The Transformed Wife published "Men Prefer Debt-free Virgins Without Tattoos."[1] In the article, Alexander argues that Jesus Christ looks down upon debt and values sexual purity, and as one of the primary sources of debt is going to college, she argues that Christian women should not go to college to avoid debt. The majority of the article features quotes from several commenters who claim college makes women less subservient to their husbands and less prepared for being a good Christian wife, which Alexander supplements with her own commentary. She also says women should not have tattoos, though there is no commentary from quoted commenters regarding tattoos.
