"Megalo Strike Back" (Known shortly as MSB) is a song composed by the musician and video game developer Toby "Radiation" Fox. and is Number 20 on the Earthbound Fan-Album: "I MISS YOU"

Origin

"Megalo Strike Back" was composed back in 2012 for an Earthbound fan-album titled: I Miss you, and included as track number 20 for the album. the song was created to be a sequel for the original Megalovania, which Fox composed for the Earthbound Halloween Hack in circa 2008, The song and album garnered very little attention, until 2015, when Undertale came out; After it's release, fans dug it up and started using it for fanmade projects, including animations and fangames, the character it was used the most for was the mysterious Chara.

On November 16th, 2015, Youtuber user, Cola-Star uploaded a video of the song titled "I Miss You – EarthBound 2012 Toby Fox | Megalo Strike Back" which currently sits at over 1.5 Million views.

On December 10th that year, user SuperWiiBros05 uploaded a video titled "[Undertale: Alternate Scene] An Actual Full Genocide Papyrus AU Battle." which now sits at nearly 2 million views.

On February 27th, Dreemurr Reborn uploaded "Undertale Fan Boss Fight: Chara" which now sits at nearly 9 million views, this was the first popular instance of MSB being used as Chara's theme.

Finally, on April 5th that year, user Herpicuss uploaded "Megalo Strike Back (Chara fight theme)" which now sits at over 10 Million views and was the reason this theme blew up.
