Mario Judah's "Miss The Rage" or I Miss The Rage is an interpretation of the 2021 Trippie Redd single of the same name featuring rapper Playboi Carti by Mario Judah. The song was leaked online in March 2021, receiving mixed responses from listeners. In the following months, it inspired a number of viral videos on TikTok, and was used in a number of edits on YouTube, including AMVs.

Origin

Trippie Redd's "Miss The Rage" was first teased in December 2020 on the rapper's Instagram[1] page, where it gained considerable hype from fans (shown below).

Mario Judah's interpretation of the song leaked to YouTube[2] as late as March 27th, 2021, before Trippie Redd officially released the song. This lead some[11] to believe Judah was going to feature in the song, however, this was confirmed to be untrue by Redd on Instagram Live.[10] A thread about the song was posted to /r/hiphopheads[3] on March 27th along with a now-deleted YouTube upload, receiving mixed responses from commenters. The song was reuploaded to YouTube[4] in May, garnering over 1.9 million views in two months (shown below).

On May 7th, 2021, Trippie Redd's single "Miss The Rage" featuring Playboi Carti was released (shown below). The song is significantly different from Judah's, with the only real similarities being the beat.

On May 4th, 2021, YouTuber[8] Trunx 永遠 posted an anime music video edit using the song, garnering over 150,000 views in two months (shown below).

On June 10th, 2021, YouTuber[9] wafflesconqueso posted a video in which a different 144p image from Google is shown whenever a new lyric is sung in the song, garnering over 63,000 views in a month (shown below).

I Remember It All / I Miss The Rage TikTok Trend

On June 10th, 2021, TikToker[5] @puumf posted an AMV edit set to an original sound consisting of a section of the song, garnering over 850,000 views in a month.

The original sound was popularized on TikTok over the course of the next month, inspiring over 140,000 videos on the platform. The most popular trend sees users suddenly "transform" their appearance in time with the music. For example, on June 20th and 24th, TikTokers[6][7] @bred.kek.lol and @isaiasbruh posted videos like this, garnering over 13.9 and 8 million views respectively in two weeks (shown below, left and right).

Over the course of June, a second sound consisting of Mario Judah's "Miss The Rage" became popular on TikTok, inspiring over 300,000 videos on the platform in a month. The two most popular videos, uploaded to TikTok[12][13] on June 1st and 16th, depict people raging over the sound, and garnered over 18.3 and 10 million views in roughly a month (shown below, left and right).
