Man The Game refers to an exploitable image of box art for a fake video game titled Man The Game, created by TikToker axelussy in mid-June 2024. Shortly after the initial posts went viral online, a point-and-click game developed by Kendal Watkins in which you play as Man, allowing you to control a character doing normal daily activities with 10 endings in total and one true ending, then appeared. Online, the parody video game sparked memes and jokes on TikTok in which an ironic fandom was developed, creating more lore about Man The Game.
Origin
On June 15th, 2024, TikTok user @axelussy[1] posted a photo collage featuring a box art of a fake PlayStation 5 game titled Man The Game, The post (seen below) amassed more than 4 million plays and 505,000 likes in a week.
A few days later, on June 21st, 2024, Kendal Watkins[2] released a point-and-click visual novel game based on the fake game Man The Game. The creator also posted a trailer on her YouTube[3] channel (seen below), which received roughly 300 views and 10 likes in two days.
Spread
TikTokers and creator of the fake game, @axelussy,[4] continued to Photoshop and post box art of Man The Game, expanding its lore. For instance, on June 18th, 2024, he uploaded a series of fake Man The Game sequels (examples below), which amassed more than 391,000 plays and 62,000 likes in five days.
On June 22nd, 2024, TIkToker[5] @frickfrickson posted a fake review of Man The Game 2 (seen below), which received over 236,000 plays and 6,400 likes in a day.
