About
Machine Girl "MG1" Animation Meme or He's Right, I Am a Murderer refers to a series of animation memes set to the opening track from Machine Girl's album WLFGRL, "MG1," which features dialogue from the English dub of the Japanese film The Machine Girl that begins, "He's right, I am a murderer." The animations, which are visually based on a webcomic known as "Did You Eat All The Cheese Snacks," became popularized on TikTok in late July through August 2023 and typically feature a character from a given fandom lip dubbing to the dialogue, as if telling other characters that they are a murderer.
Origin
On May 22nd, 2022, TikToker[1] @slimengrimen posted an edit of a July 18th, 2014 comic by Tumblr[2] user nopecontest where the Pokemon accuses Flareon and Vaporeon of eating all the cheese snacks. In the edit, Leafeon's dialogue is replaced with the dialogue from "MG1" by Machine Girl, which consists of narration from the 2008 English dub of the movie The Machine Girl.[3] The video gained over 24,900 views in a year (shown below).
"He's right… I am a murderer. But until six months ago, I was just an ordinary high school girl
Do you remember what you promised? We're not going to lose anyone close to us again
We swore that we would always be there for each other…
No matter what happens though, I promise I'll protect you."
"If you were a boy, I might actually have fallen for you if you weren't careful
Come on. Maybe I'm the one who should have a crush on you."
