Luke P.'s Bologna refers to Bachelorette contestant Luke P. dropping bologna on a fellow contestant's lap and calling him bologna while in an argument with one another during episode 8 of season 15 of The Bachelorette.

Origin

On July 1st, 2019, Season 15 episode eight of the Bachelorette aired. That same day, Bachelor Nation posted a clip of the episode to YouTube in which Garrett and Luke P. get into a fight (shown below). The video gained over 78,500 views in two days.

Spread

On July 1st, Twitter users were quick to point out the bizarre moment in tweets and clips of the episode. Twitter user @KFCBarstool tweeted, "'Do you know what this is? It’s a PILE OF BOLOGNA' All time Bachelorette moment" with a clip of the incident (shown below). The tweet gained over 1,000 likes in two days.

In a final scene of the episode, Garrett wears the bologna over his eyes. Twitter user @_cheerdominique responded with a GIF from The Office captioned, "Garrett after Luke throws bologna at him:" (shown below). The tweet accumulated over 2,400 likes in two days.

That night, Twitter user @jennamarshall36^[1] posted a picture of bologna with the caption, "Luke and Garrett’s argument with no context #TheBachelorette" (shown below, left). The tweet garnered over 1,000 likes in two days. Twitter user @CourtneyMenig^[2] posted a me explaining to my mom image which received over 800 likes in two days (shown below, right).
