Lucy's "Okey Dokey" or Lucy's "Okie Dokie" refers to a catchphrase associated with the Fallout TV series character Lucy MacLean, played by Ella Purnell. "Okey Dokey" is repeatedly uttered by Lucy in different situations, which made the phrase become prominent on social media in April 2024 after fans started to create fan art, fan edits, memes and jokes featuring the phrase.

Origin

On April 10th, 2024, the first season of the Fallout series, consisting of eight episodes, premiered on Amazon Prime Video.[1] On the same day, X[2] user @iHugLizzie posted the earliest mention of Lucy's "Okey Dokey" catchphrase (shown below), featuring the final scene from episode one, which amassed roughly 3,900 views and 60 likes in a month.

Spread

Following the premiere of the series, some fans posted compilation videos featuring all the moments Lucy says "Okey Dokey" in the series. For example, On April 13th, 2024, YouTuber[3] @skyman420 posted a video titled "Every 'Okey Dokey' in Fallout" (shown below), which garnered over 1.4 million views and 33,000 likes in a month.

The character's phrase also inspired some fan art on X, as X[4] user @FalloutFanArt uploaded on April 30th with a drawing of Lucy holding a gun paired with the caption "Okey Dokey" (shown below). The artwork received over 10 likes in two days.

On April 24th, 2024, X[5] user @poci82 posted an in-game character built similar to actress Ella Purnell's facial features paired with the catchphrase "okey dokey," which amassed over 7,700 likes and 270 reposts in two weeks (shown below).
