About

/r/Me_Irl's Nice. Downvote refers to a series of jokes on the /r/me_irl subreddit about a downvoted comment in a thread mocking the repetitive use of the word "nice" on Reddit, such as in the commonly-used Internet practice of responding to references to the number 69 with the comment Nice. The downvote in question broke the chain of "Nice."s by posting "nice." with a lower-case "n."

The post (shown below, left) received more than 5,500 points (98% upvotes) and 370 comments.

Users responded to the thread, by and large, with "Nice." However, Redditor[2] chubby_boye responded, like in the image, by writing "nice" with a lowercase "n." The post (shown below) more than -2,100 points in five days.

On July 7th, 2018, Redditor[6] BoBe_KrYaNt_18 shared a screenshot of the original cubby_boye "nice." downvote photoshopped into a YouTube video entitled "10 Most Dangerous Places On The Internet" in the /r/dankmemes subreddit.
