Long Bacon Store refers to a viral Bone Hurting Juice photoshop of an art piece by Instagram user and artist row.anii depicting a woman wrapping her partner in a long scarf patterned like the lesbian pride flag that also resembles a strip of bacon, the one wrapped in the scarf asking her partner where she got such "long bacon" and her partner responding, "long bacon store." The original artwork was posted to Instagram in September 2023 and became the subject of memes that month when the long bacon edit was posted to and went viral on the subreddit /r/bonehurtingjuice. References to the "long bacon store" became a prominent inside joke on subreddits including /r/bonehurtingjuice and /r/actuallesbians going forward, with the memes also spreading across social media at large in the following years.

Origin

On September 19th, 2023, Instagram^[1] user and artist row.anii posted a piece of art depicting a woman wrapping her partner in a scarf designed like the lesbian pride flag. The woman with the scarf says, "I know you get cold in the winter" and her partner says, "Thanks for keeping me warm babe." The post gained around 300 likes in a year.

Later that day, Redditor u/DopazOnYouTubeDotCom posted a Photoshop of the art to the /r/bonehurtingjuice^[2] subreddit replacing the captions to read, "where did you get such a long bacon" and "long bacon store," garnering over 5,000 upvotes in the same span of time.

Spread

The meme spread across social media as a redraw format over the following months, becoming a popular inside joke on /r/actuallesbians and /r/bonehurtingjuice.

On November 25th, 2023, X^[3] user @yakitoruu posted a Project Sekai redraw of the meme that garnered over 1,500 likes in 11 months.

In January 2024, a Pointing Soyjak meme referencing the long bacon store was posted to /r/actuallesbians,^[4] garnering over 1,400 likes in the same span of time.

In March 2024, a Redditor posted a redraw of the meme to /r/Deltarune^[5] that garnered over 600 upvotes in seven months. On April 27th, X^[6] user @leannavalsierra posted a Dungeon Meshi redraw that gained over 15,000 upvotes in six months.
