Lois Screams "Peter" refers to a scene from the 2022 Family Guy episode "The Munchurian Candidate" where Lois Griffin screams Peter's name in horror at the top of her lungs after catching him performing oral sex on her mother. The scene was posted online in October 2022 in the days after it aired and went viral, including as an original sound on TikTok.

Origin

On October 16th, 2022, season 21 episode four of Family Guy, "The Munchurian Candidate," aired on TV. In the episode, Peter is hypnotized by a hypnotherapist into performing oral sex on Lois every time he hears the phrase, "extra, extra," a phrase that plays at the beginning of the show Extra. In one scene, Peter, alone with Lois' mother, hears the phrase on TV which triggers the hypnosis, causing him to go down on her mother. Lois enters the room screaming his name intensely for a prolonged length of time.

On October 17th, 2022, Twitter^[1] user @SSawads posted the scene, writing, "what the fuck is going on with family guy," garnering over 34,000 likes and 3,700 retweets in three days (shown below).

The scene gained viral spread over the following days. On October 17th, 2022, TikToker^[2] @ack42069 posted the clip, garnering over 2.1 million views in three days. The original sound was used over 2,600 times in the following days, mostly in videos where TikTokers celebrate the scream, joking that Lois' voice actor put everything she had into it, along with a number of lip dub skits (examples shown below, left and right).

On October 17th, Twitter^[3] user @nescartridges posted a video comparing the scream to one from One Piece character Zoro in the 4Kids dub, garnering over 15,000 likes in three days (shown below). On October 19th, Twitter^[4] user @kzzrttt shared the clip, writing, "there is literally nothing in the world that could prepare you for what fucking happens in this family guy clip," garnering over 39,000 likes and 4,000 retweets in a day.
