The teaser was in promotion of the 2025 Disney Pixar film Hoppers, which follows a scientist as she inserts her mind into a lifelike robotic beaver in order to uncover the mysteries of the animal kingdom. A trailer for the film was released on YouTube^[7] on July 16th, 2025, gathering over 6 million views in two weeks. The film is set to release on March 6th, 2026.

The TikTok^[2] page @igreenscreenthings posted a greenscreen version of the Lizard on July 27th, 2025, gathering over 260,000 plays and 14,000 likes in two days.
