The video was uploaded to TikTok in late May 2023 and went viral over the following weeks as an original sound, often used in lip dub videos by women explaining why men are attracted to them.

Origin

On May 23rd, 2023, TikToker^[1] @samstailor posted a video showing off a customer's suit where he begins, "Little white men from the United States scurry to me like rats because this is what I do to them," garnering over 6.8 million views in three weeks (deleted, reupload shown below).

That day, TikTokers began using the video's sound in lip dub videos about things they that attract men. For example, that day, TikTokers^[2][3] @latenightwar and @happybirthdayjanah posted videos using the sound, garnering over 525,000 and 310,000 views respectively in three weeks (shown below, left and right).

On June 3rd, 2023, TikToker^[4] @st4rgirl.1nterlud3 posted a video using the sound that garnered over 600,000 views in two weeks. On June 4th, TikToker^[5] @dr.silly posted a video to the sound talking about the so-called Jenna Ortega effect, garnering over 2.9 million views in the same span of time (shown below, left). On June 10th, TikToker^[6] @ysabel.alexx posted a video that gained over 1.3 million views in five days (shown below, right).
