Little Lando Norris Sleeping refers to a viral video of Formula 1 pilot Lando Norris caught sleeping during the 2021 Belgian Grand Prix. The moment resurfaced as a viral sound on TikTok in mid 2023, in which users added the narrator’s phrase "And It's All Too Much For Little Lando Norris" to show people or pets sleeping or being lazy.

Origin

On August 29th, 2021, Formula 1 pilot Lando Norris was caught sleeping by the cameraman during the 2021 Belgian Grand Prix. As the camera closes in the pilot, the narrator of the GP says “And it’s all too much for little Lando Norris. 21 years old. He just needs a bit of sleep.” The earliest known post of this moment was uploaded on YouTube^[1] by @aerof1 on October 3rd, 2021, which amassed more than 2,400 views and 189 likes in two years.

On July 30th, 2023, TikTok^[2] user @landonorrizzzz reposted Norris’ clip sleeping, which was then used as a sound for more than 10,000 other videos on the platform. For example, on October 18th, 2023, TikTok^[3] user @jdwomen posted a video of a woman sleeping inside a store paired with the narrator’s sound (shown below, left), which amassed more than 12 million plays and 1.5 million likes in three months. On October 29th, 2023, TikTok^[4] user @philipkim_ used the audio for a video (shown below, right) about his feelings after going out two nights in a row. The post received more than 7 million plays and 1.5 million likes in three months.
