Lily Madwhip is the name of the protagonist and narrator in a series of stories originally posted on the /r/nosleep subreddit. Each entry begins with "My name is Lily Madwhip, and I [X]" and ends with a link to the next story in the series.
Origin
On January 27th, 2019, Redditor[1] Lillian_Madwhip posted the original "Lily Madwhip" story on the /r/nosleep subreddit. The post begins with "My name is Lily Madwhip, and I see things before they happen." It then follows the story of Lily and her premonition of her brother's death. The post received more than 9,500 points (98% upvoted) and 200 comments in less than one month (screen capture below).

The following day, Redditor[2] Lillian_Madwhip postd the second story in the series, which begins with "My name is Lily Madwhip and I don't need a therapist." The post received more than (98% upvoted) and 160 comments.
On February 7th, 2019, Redditor Vullein070 launched the /r/lillian_madwhip subreddit. That day, Redditor[3] Lillian_Madwhip posted, "I am absolutely 100% stunned by the reception I've been getting in regards to the Lily Madwhip stories. Thank you to everyone who's been reading them and being so supportive. This is just overwhelming. I promise not to get a big head about it. Or I'll try not to." The post received more than 1,200 points (100% upvoted) and 260 comments in less than three weeks.
Additionally, that day, Redditor Vullein070 posted links to all the stories in the series. The post received more than 275 points (100% upvoted) and 40 comments in three weeks (shown below).
Three days later, YouTuber Poxel posted a text-to-speech version of the story on the site. Within three weeks the post received more than 1,800 views (shown below).
On February 25th, 2019, Redditor noah_laughery asked about the series in the /r/OutOfTheLoop subreddit.[4]
