About
Levels Of Hell is a series of exploitable images listing the nine levels of hell, as described in Dante's Inferno, adding a mock 10th level for humorous effect.
Origin
On October 6th, 2015, artist Adam Ellis posted an image on Facebook [1] of Dante's "9 Circles of Hell," as described in his "Dante's Inferno," the first part of The Divine Comedy. However, Ellis added a 10th level, "People who steal artwork and add their own watermark to it." The post (shown below) received more than 12,000 reactions, 500 comments and 25,000 shares in three years.
Spread

Two years later, on April 11th, 2018, Facebook[3] user paolulmemes posted a variation with the word "Lechon" in the 10th space. The post (shown below, center) received more than 100 reactions and 200 shares in two months.
Weeks later, on May 2nd, Redditor [4] hjpage686 posted a version in the /r/PrequelMemes subreddit. In this variation, the 9th layer reads, "People who think Chris Pratt should play Obi-Wan." The post (shown below, right) received more than6,300 points (97% upvoted) and 92 comments in one month.
