Lenin spreading the communism is a bait-and-switch prank and a humorous description of the Russian Revolution of 1917. The esence of this meme is humorizing the October Revolution and posting a hyperlink under communist videos/ memes or anything related to it on youtube which restrictes users to this video. The meme itself is a gif representing a red 3D Lenin model dancing with a hammer and sickle over the song "Clio – Faces". Some people may find it political but in reality it is just a meme that isn't supposed to be taken political.

The exact date of the appearance of this Lenin gif is unknown.
But it is known that for the first time it was uploaded on Giphy by the user Ari Spool

On February 23rd 2017 User Демидова Елена uploaded a video on Coub featuring this gif

3 years later on 10th of July 2020 youtube user The Soviet Channel uploaded this meme on his channel. During the first month it was called "Lenin spreads the communism" then In August it got renamed to "Lenin spreading the communism". Here we can see a 3D Animated Lenin model dancing with the hammer and the sickle for 48 seconds over Clio Faces (1985). By the end of July it had over 6,000 views. The meme is shown below :

This meme has been spreading through youtube and mostly through comment sections. Many users started to paste this link under communist or meme videos and so this meme has got it's second name "Leninroll" or "Lenin'd" . Leninrolling is often used to bait capitalists (as shown in some videos of The Soviet Channel ) and some other channels (IamEpicDegenerate).
By the end of September this meme has crossed the 100,000 views milestone.
It's also important to notice that both Russian and English comments can be found under this meme.
Currently the meme has over 330,000 views, 5000 comments and 19,000 likes.

On 11th of September 2020 the full version of the meme was relased, featuring the extended version of the song "Clio – Faces"
