"Legends Never Die" Kid refers to a viral video of a child contestant, Philipp, on the 2022 season of The Voice Kids Germany singing the 2017 League of Legends World Championship song "Legends Never Die." In March 2025, the clip started going viral on TikTok and became the subject of memes and references, some of which play off the idea that Philipp cannot sing but acts as if he can.

Origin

In the 2022 season of the German version of The Voice Kids, a contestant named Philipp chose to sing "Legends Never Die" during the blind auditions round of the show. On March 27th, 2022, the clip was uploaded to The Voice Kids YouTube^[1] channel, garnering over 752,000 views in three years.

On March 6th, 2025, TikToker^[2] @user368984046 posted the clip, garnering over 1.9 million views in roughly two weeks. The clip began to inspire memes that month.

For example, on March 9th, TikToker^[3] @snz_king posted an edit of the clip, garnering over 750,000 views in just over a week. This is the earliest known edit of the video.

The clip continued to inspire memes on TikTok throughout March 2025. On March 13th, 2025, TikToker^[4] @thatfamouswatermel0n posted a meme using the clip and referencing professional gamer Bugha, who won the Fortnite World Cup 2019, garnering over 750,000 views in six days.

On March 15th, TikToker^[5] @fnnostalgia711 posted a similar meme criticizing the kid's skills, captioned, "Lil bro thinks he's in top 5 clutch moments," garnering over 1.5 million views in three days.

On March 17th, 2025, TikToker^[6] @dmattdraws posted a video of a drawing of Philipp that he made, in which Philipp is depicted with an abnormally long neck, garnering over 2.1 million views in a day.
