At the end of the third quarter of Game 2 of the Cavaliers-Raptors Eastern Conference Semifinals series, the Cavaliers had an eleven point lead thanks in part to a strong performance from James. ESPN announcer Mike Jones went to commercial by saying "We'll be back to LeBronto after this." A post on /r/nba featuring the clip gained over 16,000 points.[5]

After the phrase was uttered, memes about the word began spreading among NBA fans on Reddit and Twitter. Twitter user @MythAddict[1] photoshopped Toronto's sign to read "LeBronto," gaining over 510 retweets and 810 likes (shown below, left). Bleacher Report[2] tweeted the word pictures of Drake, a noted Toronto citizen and Raptors fan, gaining over 2,000 retweets and 10,000 likes (shown below, right).
