Laughs in Sith Lord is an image macro and video series featuring a scene from the video game Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga in which the characters Darth Sidious and Count Dooku cackle together.

Origin

On November 6th, 2007, the video game Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga was released.^[1] In one cut scene, the characters Darth Sidious and Count Dooku laugh next to each other.

On June 20th, 2016, YouTuber Domboku posted all cut scenes from the video game, including the laughing scene, which received more than 978,000 views (shown below).

Spread

On March 28th, 2018, Redditor ^[2] thepostal_dude shared a screenshot of the laughing in the /r/fakehistoryporn subreddit (shown below, left). They captioned the post, "Adolf Hitler (Left) and Erwin Rommel (Right) prepare their move onto Africa during a meeting (Circa June 9th, 1940) (Colorized)."

On April 1st, 2019, Redditor^[3] Plagueis_The-Wise shared the image with the subtitle "[Laughs in Sith Lord]" and the caption "when you can only make EU memes but you relize that the LEGO starwars games are non-cannon." The post received more than 120 points (98% upvoted) in less than one year (shown below, center)

The following month, Redditor^[4] Zatorator shared the a variation with the caption "When you realise the month isn't specified so there are 12 revenge of the 5th's every year." The post received more than 11,000 points (98% upvoted) in less than one year (shown below, right).
